L/J Fan Fiction
As I admitted as one of my confessions, I read fan fiction ALL THE TIME. (I occasionally write it.) So I thought I'd tell you my thoughts on fan fiction. First of all, I only ever read Harry Potter fan fiction. I think I may of read one or two of something else, but that was quite a while ago. I used to read about a variety of ships like Ron and Hermione, but now, I just stick to James and Lily.
I think Marauder's Era fan fiction is the best because you know enough about them to know their characters and you have a brief description of what happened, ie. James liked Lily since fifth year, Lily hated everything about James, they started dating in seventh year, Snape and Lily were best friends until after the DADA OWL... However, there's the question of how James actually got Lily to fall for him, which is where all the fan fiction comes in. :)
My favourite author for James and Lily is Molly Raesly.
I'm currently reading The Life and Times by Jewels5 (it is totally awesome, and you should go and read it). She also has as a blog about the fic and gives excerpts of new chapters here.
I'm also reading The Story of Four Friends while I wait for The Life and Times chapter updates. It's told from Remus Lupin's point of view, and I love it. :)
If anyone likes reading about Ron and Hermione, I suggest you read EVERYTHING by Pinky Brown, she's amazing.
I really hope you found those links useful, because they took me forever to do, and I was all confused by the HTML stuff.

I'm am hugely into fanfiction as well! And I love how there are certain areas that are left to the imagination and that people can fill in the blanks, so to speak. THAT should be what is added into schools next. Teachers should assign students parts of the books to make up their own plot for (such as "write pages on how Lily ended up falling for James") or What if... I think it would be a great learning tool and it would be something fun.
I know! I wish my english teacher had a fanficion assignment. I would be so excited. It would be the best school assignment ever. :)
I'm addicted to fan fiction. It's sad but I read it all the time.

I like young Peter. An excellent FanFic about Peter is The Peter Pettigrew Fan Club. I mean, Peter had to have been at least semi-okay as a kid. James trusted him over Remus. He was a Maurader. He turned evil in the end, but he had to have been a cute, little, mischievous, brave boy in there somewhere. He was a Griff, he just changed.
I agree with you complete Annikia. It just makes me angry when they don't like Peter in fanfics.
